from a warzone in southern lebanon
their homes_ their livelihoods_ wiped out
many thousands more unable to leave
now living in extreme peril
and under warning from an invading army
intent on eradicating its enemy
and who will probably shoot on sight
(as they do in gaza)

unicef reports that children
are bearing the brunt of these hostilities
(as they do in gaza)

lebanese children
"account for nearly a third of those killed
and for nearly half of the displaced"
according to a unicef spokesman

meanwhile the venality of blair's premiership
has so far prevented the uk from having a voice
with which to condemn israel's belligerence
or stop it's collective punishment of innocents
at the hands of it's euphemistically named 'defence force'
who are resupplied with weapons through a uk airport
(that ought to be closed down by protest)

un observers are dead
with officials suggesting those deaths were intended_

just as they have been in gaza
when british aid workers and journalists
have been deliberately targeted and knowingly killed
and relatives receiving restrained government assistance
because their loved ones were "on the wrong side"
in the endemically racist 'war against terrorism'

the only winner to come out of 9/11
was the zionist lobby in america
in their unholy alliance with the neo-conservatives_
cashing in on the deaths of those innocents
and creating the circumstances
that would mutilate or destroy
the innocent lives of thousands more

and when the corpses are returned
each to their grieving family
in lebanon,
in gaza,
in china,
in finland,
in austria,
in canada,
in iraq,
in america
and in the uk_
barbara bush publicly states
that she doesn't want "her beautiful mind"
sullied by such images

whilst blood might not defile your ignorance mrs bush
it defiles the hands of your immediate family
and your immediate friends
not one or two stains, but many many thousands _
history will attest to your son's guilt in this
but if you are remembered at all
it will only be on the Day of your Atonement
(and Heaven help you)
